Logica wins international prize for security solution
In an international contest with 300 judges Logica has won Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner award for its security solutions
Logica won the main category of “Partner of the Year: Security” in Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Awards for its security solutions on 11 July 2007 in Denver, USA. The judges acknowledge how Logica has developed new and innovative security solutions on customer’s existing Microsoft software.
Through Logica’s technology solutions the Danish Police are now using a complete Windows on an encrypted USB key so that every one of the 12,000 police officers is able to access the central systems in a secure way from any PC. This particular solution also won Martin Kiær, Logica’s Windows and Security Specialist, the innovation prize from the American magazine ‘Windows ITPro’ earlier this year.
This illustrates how the enormous work effort from Logica’s entire Infrastructure Unite over the last two and half years has paid off, a very happy Martin Kiær makes clear.
Sales and Marketing Director, Charlotte Smith, considers the prize a recognition of Logica’s focus on security solutions developed on existing Microsoft software. She states that many of the customers only use around half of the Microsoft software’s potential and therefore some consider the platform as being expensive. However our security solutions are optimising customer’s investments.
Charlotte Smith also suggests the award highlights the fact that Logica has skilled employees who are able to give customers reliable counselling. The right counselling is crucial from the beginning, and in security matters no room is left for mistakes, she adds.
Altogether there were 2,000 applications for the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference Awards, which were evaluated by 300 judges in 42 categories. Logica won the category ahead of IT companies from USA and Germany.
